Indigenous Chicana & Genízara (descended from detribalized Native Americans who were enslaved by Hispano settlers).

I am a bestselling illustrator, multidisciplinary artist, and gardener currently based in New Orleans. My visual storytelling practice is rooted in my childhood, which I spent on a haunted flower farm in Southern Colorado. To pass the long, hot summers, I drew constantly, filling the time with elaborate daydreams and ghost stories.

That early instinct to build worlds and translate narratives eventually evolved into my professional practice. Today, I tell complex, human stories using whatever medium the project demands, with a heavy focus on illustration and traditional animation. My goal is to bridge evocative, hand-crafted art with functional design, approaching every new project with narrative stewardship and the same relentless curiosity I had as a kid.
